The Oklahoma State Cowboy football team concluded its 2026 spring practice season on Apr. 18, as the offense outscored the defense, 42-33, during the Spring Game at Boone Pickens Stadium in front of an audience of approximately 13,000 fans.
The event featured a nearly 90-minute scrimmage and included in-game interviews with both past and current players. Attendees also enjoyed music from the OSU marching band and had an opportunity to meet the entire team on the field after the game.
Safety Cameron Epps made an early impact by intercepting a deep pass on the first play of the game, giving seven points to the defense. Quarterback Drew Mestemaker responded by connecting with wide receiver Justin Bowlick for a 26-yard touchdown pass. Mestemaker later completed a notable deep throw from his own end zone for a 98-yard gain to Chris Barnes, helping extend the offense’s lead.
The offensive momentum continued as Caleb Hawkins finished off a drive with a one-yard touchdown run. Mestemaker added another score with a 38-yard touchdown pass to Wyatt Young, marking his third touchdown of the afternoon. Freshman quarterback Luke Tepas also contributed by finding Jabarie Thornton for a red zone touchdown.
On defense, Jaleel Johnson recorded two sacks and tackles for loss. Kickers Sam Keltner and Joseph Kim each made multiple field goals throughout the scrimmage.
Looking ahead, Oklahoma State is scheduled to open its regular season on Sept. 5 against Tulsa on the road.
