Oklahoma State University’s women’s golf team ended the first day of the Lady Luck Invitational in Las Vegas tied for sixth place. The Cowgirls played 36 holes on Monday, opening with a score of 308 (+20) and improving to 298 (+10) in the second round, bringing their total to 30-over-par.
The team is currently trailing tournament leader UCF by 22 strokes heading into the final round scheduled for Tuesday.
Junior Marta Silchenko led Oklahoma State with rounds of 76 (+4) and 72 (even par), placing her in a tie for 17th individually after two rounds. Silchenko has played at par or better twice in five rounds since her spring debut last week.
Ellie Bushnell recorded a significant improvement between rounds, moving from a first-round score of 81 (+9) to an even-par 72 in the second round. This nine-stroke difference elevated her position by 26 spots on the individual leaderboard, finishing Monday tied for 30th. Bushnell also reached her 250th career birdie during play on the par-4 twelfth hole.
Summer Lee posted scores of 77 (+5) and 75 (+3), ending the day tied for 26th place. Freshman Yu-Chu Chen finished with scores of 76 and 79, totaling +11 over par.
Lucy Darr and Grace Kilcrease completed their rounds at +15 and +17, respectively. Darr achieved her milestone hundredth career birdie on the eighteenth hole.
Oklahoma State will compete alongside Baylor and UTSA in Tuesday’s third and final round, starting at 10:30 a.m. CDT.

Cowgirls’ individual results are as follows: Marta Silchenko tied for seventeenth at +4; Summer Lee tied for twenty-sixth at +8; Ellie Bushnell tied for thirtieth at +9; Yu-Chu Chen tied for fortieth at +11; Lucy Darr (competing as an individual) tied for fifty-sixth at +15; Grace Kilcrease tied for sixty-fourth at +17.
Team standings after two rounds show UCF leading at eight over par, followed by Kent State (+12), Houston (+18), UNLV (+20), Oregon State (+22), with Oklahoma State and Northern Arizona both at thirty over par in sixth place.
