Cost of college went up for all students at Oklahoma State University-Main Campus

In-state tuition and fees rose 3.2 percent for 2018-19 at Oklahoma State University-Main Campus, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Oklahoma residents paid $9,019 to attend the four-year public institution this year – $281 more than the $8,738 charged for 2017-18.

Non-residents paid 172.1 percent more than residents this year, or $24,539. Their price tag grew 3.2 percent from $23,776 in 2017-18.

About 63 percent of the school's undergraduate population are Oklahoma residents. About 34 percent are residents of other states and 3 percent are citizens of other countries.

Data shows 91 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 3,097 students received grants or scholarships totaling $30.6 million and 1,828 students took out student loans totaling more than $11.8 million.

Including all undergraduates (24,690), 15,479 students used grants or scholarships totaling $142.3 million, and 9,023 students took out $59.6 million in federal student loans.
