Oklahoma State University Fall Enrollment Underway for Osher Lifelong Learning Institute Senior-Adult Classes

Enrollment is now open for senior-adult educational classes offered in-person and online through the Oklahoma State University Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI).

With more than 60 classes in Tulsa, Oklahoma City, Stillwater, Bartlesville and online, OLLI provides engaging learning and social opportunities for people 50 or older. Classes begin the week of Sept. 19 at all locations.

Class topics include art, literature, history, science, film, culture, cooking and more. The fall session is designed to maximize participation and cater to individual needs by offering flexible class formats, including in-person and online.

“We offer incredible options taught by excellent instructors,” said Robbin Davis, OLLI director. “With a wide range of topics and formats, it’s easy for anyone to participate, regardless of location.”

Classes vary in length with rolling start dates beginning as early as September and running through mid-November. Multi-week classes are $25 and single-session classes are $10 with some offered for free, in addition to a $40 annual membership fee. Those seeking unlimited attendance to classes offered in the fall, spring and summer sessions can purchase a premium annual membership for $200.

The OLLI program also offers participants the opportunity to enjoy road trips that are educational in nature. Day trips to Oklahoma City and Enid are planned for the fall session in addition to a two-night trip to Kansas City near the holidays.

Learning and experiencing new things and connecting with peers are highlights for those who are active with OLLI at OSU.

“Our students often tell us that’s why they enjoy OLLI so much — they get to meet and socialize with people their own age and of similar life experiences,” Davis said.
