Rich Mountain scored a goal late in the first half and two in the second half to easily defeat the Mavericks 3-1. Ryan Doig scored a late goal for the Mavs off an assist from Kevin Ayala to make the score respectable.
"It was another frustrating game for so many reasons," said coach Michael DuRoy. "Injuries and other issues have led to us to playing guys that are not ready to play at this level and play guys out of position. We don't have one forward playing now, not one, and to make matters worse one of the midfielders we moved up to play forward was injured and it doesn't look like he will be coming back any time soon. On the bright side guys that have been asking for playing time all year are getting to play. Now they have to play at a winning level. We haven't come close to that so far. We have to coach better and try to get these guys organized, and then the players have to execute. With our talent level that we are currently playing with we have absolutely no margin for error."
