The Noble County Sheriff’s Office was made aware of a piece of paper that had been found by a student

The Noble County Sheriff’s Office was made aware of a piece of paper that had been found by a student. The content on that paper concerned some of the students and parents. On 10/27/2022 at approximately 7:00 P.M. our office was notified and we responded to investigate.

The paper had websites and phone numbers of companies that dealt in a variety of items that ranged from bulletproof glass to body armor. There were also, random numbers and marks, the words   License to Kill and some students names. These were on what appeared to be folded scratch paper that was located in a textbook inside a classroom.

During the course of the investigation we spoke with the teacher of this specific classroom immediately after the report was made to the Sheriff’s Office. The teacher stated it was their writing on the paper. They explained the searches for bulletproof glass was after their residence had been broken into through a window and there was concern for their families safety. The words License to Kill was in reference to a movie that the teacher was thinking of showing as an educational movie in reference to the consequences of driving drunk. There were also the names of 4 students (names will not be disclosed) that were written down. These students were wrote down because they would be serving lunch detention.

We located emails and phone records that corroborated the explanation provided by the teacher. The teacher was cooperative during the investigation.

We have investigated this paper and it’s contents and encourage anyone that might have more information to report it to the Noble County Sheriff’s Office. At this time we do not feel it requires further investigation.
