NOC Employees & Students,

On December 8th, 2022 Governor Kevin Stitt signed an Executive Order 2022-33 banning TikTok from state government agencies which includes higher education. NOC’s IT Department has blocked TikTok from being used on NOC’s network.

Users of TikTok run the risk of their personal information and files being used by others and shared with others. Identity theft is a huge concern and TikTok currently puts users at a high risk for this with their broad data collection policies. Protecting NOC’s employees and students from cyberattacks will always be a top priority.
