NEO jumped out to a double figure lead in the first half and then withstood a second half NOC run in an 85-68 win over the Mavs.
NOC fell to 8-15 and 2-7 in league play. NEO (16-4) improved to 7-2 in conference.
Trailing 44-27 at half, the Mavs opened the second half with a 16-4 run to cut the NEO lead to 48-43 with 13:35 left in the game.
NEO then engineered a run of their own to build the lead back to 67-45.
NOC was led by Muhammed Kante with 19 while Jason Hunt added 13, Javontae Campbell 11, Jordan Gorecki 11, and Montrez Ward.
The Mavs are at Western Saturday at 5 p.m. in a weekend make-up game.
