For just the second time in program history, Oklahoma State's women's basketball team went to triple overtime, prevailing in three extra frames, 92-80, on Saturday afternoon against Texas Tech in front of 6,070 fans inside United Supermarkets Arena.

The only other triple overtime OSU has participated in came in NCAA action against Michigan State in Stillwater on March 16, 1991.

Saturday's victory was OSU's fifth in a row and ran its overall record to 19-7 on the season. Additionally, the Cowgirls have now won eight consecutive contests against the Lady Raiders.

OSU held Tech in check early, with the Lady Raiders hitting just two of their first 12 shots, while the Cowgirls grabbed a 15-7 lead with 3:25 to go in the first. OSU held a 17-12 lead after the first period.

Tech used a 10-2 start to the second to grab the halfway through the second. However, the Cowgirls would close the half on a 10-2 spurt of their own to lead, 31-28, at the break.

OSU built the margin to seven before Tech quickly used a 9-0 run to move back in front halfway through the third. The Cowgirls would put together a 6-0 run to lead, 47-41, with less than a minute to go in the period before ultimately taking a 47-43 lead into the fourth.

The Cowgirls got a layup from Claire Chastain to grab a 54-48 lead with less than four minutes to go before Tech once again answered quickly with the next seven points. OSU's Lior Garzon would knock down a free throw with 36 seconds left to provide the final points of regulation.

In the first extra frame, Lexy Keys buried back-to-back treys to give OSU a 63-55 advantage, but Tech would score the final eight points of the period to force a second overtime.

OSU would once again jump in front on an old-fashioned 3-point play from Chastain early in the period before Tech would jump back in front. The Lady Raiders would take a 76-72 lead with 2:35 remaining, before the Cowgirls scored the next four points and both teams went scoreless over the final 90 seconds to remain tied.

The Cowgirls scored the first nine points of the third overtime, with the final bucket being a layup from Naomie Alnatas to lead, 85-76, with two minutes to go. The Lady Raiders would get no closer than seven the rest of the way with OSU knocking down free throws to push the final margin to double figures.

Alanatas finished with a team-high 28 points and was joined in double figures by Chastain, who finished with 17 and Keys' 16. Taylen Collins chipped in with 10 points of her own.
