Lauren Bratcher tossed a five-inning no hitter in Game 1 and the Mavs rallied with four runs in the 7th to sweep Cloud County (KS) on Saturday in the Mavs' home opener.

The Mavs were 8-0 and 9-8 winners.

In Game 1, Bratcher dominated striking out nine in five innings.

Alexandra Griffin had two hits including a double, triple, and two runs scored for the Mavs.  Kyla Storts had two hits including a double.  The Mavs scored in all four innings they batted.

In Game 2, Cloud led the Mavs 8-2 heading to the bottom of the sixth but the Mavs rallied with three runs in the sixth and four in the seventh to complete the 9-8 comeback.

Storts started the final inning with a triple and then scored on a Morgan Meyer double.  Haiden Huster's single scored Meyer and then advanced to third on a Savannah Chenoweth double.  Jaci Johnson's ground ball then scored Huster and Allison McGowan, running for Chenoweth, scored on an error give the Mavs the improbable win.

Storts had three hits while Meyer homered and doubled driving home two runs.  Chenoweth added two doubles while Huster added two hits.

Bratcher earned the win in relief of Emma Enderud.  

NOC Tonkawa (3-3) hosts Allen County (KS) on Sunday at noon.
