The Oklahoma State women's soccer team continued its spring season with a 6-0 win over Central Oklahoma Wednesday night at Neal Patterson Stadium.
The Cowgirls scored three goals in each half to comfortably win and improve to 2-0 on the the spring exhibition season.
OSU nearly opened the game with a goal inside the first minute as Megan Haines' shot from outside the box was narrowly saved by the UCO keeper.
The Pokes got on the attack once again just three minutes later as Logan Heausler pounced on Haines' cross to put OSU up 1-0 within the first five minutes of the game. It was Heausler's team-leading fourth goal of the spring.
Freshman midfielder Laudan Wilson, who excelled in just her second game with the Cowgirls, extended OSU's lead to two with 25 minutes remaining. She intercepted the ball from midfield, ran all the way through the defense and into the box to poke home the finish.
OSU's third of the game, and last of the half, came after Haines' capitalized on a scramble in the box and coolly slotted the ball past the UCO keeper to put the Pokes on top 3-0 going into the break.
The Cowgirls piled on the pressure in the second half as freshman Grace McKimm opened her account with a shot that lofted over the Bronchos' goalie to give OSU a 4-0 lead with just over 30 minutes remaining.
Xcaret Pineda fired home OSU's fifth goal after capitalizing on the rebound from her first effort from outside the box.
The sixth and final goal of the game came with 12 minutes left as Sami Allen weaved her way through the UCO defense and slotted home the finish.
Not tested much on the night, OSU goalkeepers Peyton Pearson and Ary Purifoy combined for the shutout.
Up next for the Cowgirls, they travel to Dallas on March 25 to take on SMU. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m.
